The Endowment Fund of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity purchased Laurel Hall in May 2005. Perhaps no other group could have pulled the purchase off - the end result was a new headquarters and education center in only 48 hours. Phi Psi has a peculiar recent tradition of choosing structures with remarkable historic value as Headquarters sites. The Fraternity and Foundation had been talking for almost two years about the need for more space. Heritage Hall, the previous headquarters, located in the pristine Lockerbie Historic District, served the organizations' needs for 26 years but simply did not have the event space, work space and parking for any expansion.

Over the last several decades Laurel Hall has hosted innumerable special events. From wedding weekends and receptions for local and international dignitaries, to corporate retreats, speakers' series and holiday events, Laurel Hall has become a unique and historic venue for some of the most important private and public events in Indiana. Laurel Hall's elegant architecture and bold stature as well as its long and important history in the Indianapolis community are a legacy the Endowment Fund is honored to carry on.
